Today, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Manav Rachna University which sprawls across an impressive 85 acres of lush campus. This institution stands out not only for its expansive grounds but also for its diverse range of academic offerings. With programs in fields such as design, engineering, dental sciences, and humanities, Manav Rachna is committed to providing a holistic education that prepares students for the challenges of the modern world. My primary focus during this visit was the School of Design, which offers a variety of courses, including communication design, interior design, and fashion design.
The School of Design at Manav Rachna University is a beacon of innovation and creativity. I was thoroughly impressed by the state-of-the-art infrastructure that supports the academic growth of students. The classrooms are equipped with the latest technology, providing an ideal learning environment that encourages creativity and experimentation. The emphasis on hands-on experience is evident in their brilliant labs, where students can engage with cutting-edge tools and techniques, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future careers.
In addition to its academic excellence, Manav Rachna University places a strong emphasis on sports and overall student well-being. The campus features an in-house cricket stadium, shooting ranges, and a basketball court, promoting a balanced lifestyle that encourages physical activity and teamwork. This holistic approach to education is crucial in nurturing well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also physically active and socially engaged.
One of the highlights of my visit was the chance to experience the university's very own radio station, which has become a beloved hub of creativity and communication in the local community. This platform provides students with a unique opportunity to explore media, broadcasting, and journalism, further enhancing their skill sets and preparing them for a variety of career paths in the media industry.
During my visit, I had the privilege of meeting Dr Amit Bhalla the Vice President of the Manav Rachna Group. Our discussion was enlightening, as he shared invaluable industry insights and his vision for the future of education at Manav Rachna.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Prof. (Dr.) Hanu Bhardwaj and Ambika Vasudev for their warm hospitality and for providing me with an insightful campus tour. Their dedication to enriching the student experience is evident, and I am grateful for the knowledge they shared about the various programs offered at the university.
A special thank you goes to Shruti Ma’am, the Dean of the School of Design, for taking the time to explain the vision of the design department and showcasing the impressive facilities available to students.
