UDIT Shines Spotlight on Fashion, Design, Innovation, and Technology at UNFOLD 2026 Graduation Showcase

The University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT) successfully hosted the eighth edition of its much-awaited annual graduate show, UNFOLD 2026, on May 9 and 10 at its vibrant New Delhi campus. The two-day celebration brought together industry stalwarts, renowned designers, academicians, and design enthusiasts to honour the creative achievements of the graduating batch of 2026.



Spanning multiple creative disciplines, the event featured stunning exhibitions, engaging panel discussions, live industry interactions, a spectacular fashion runway show, and special award ceremonies. Students from Interior Architecture & Design, Fashion Communication, Communication Design, Fashion Business Management, Fashion Design, and Foundation programmes showcased the results of years of rigorous training, experimentation, and innovation.



Prominent names from the design world graced the occasion, including Sunil Sethi (Chairman, FDCI), legendary designer Tarun Tahiliani, Vimarsh Razdan (CEO, Underneat), computational design expert Sushant Verma , filmmaker Faiza Khan, and many others. Their presence added immense value through insightful conversations and mentorship.


The grand exhibition highlighted interdisciplinary projects that tackled pressing themes such as sustainability, social relevance, urban development, craft revival, and technology-driven storytelling. Graduates presented powerful collections, spatial installations, branding campaigns, films, and interactive experiences that blended creativity with real-world impact.

Speaking at the event, Dr Jitin Chadha, Pro Chancellor of UDIT, expressed his pride in the students. He emphasised how UNFOLD represents not just a showcase, but a reflection of the university’s commitment to industry-aligned education and socially conscious design. “It is inspiring to witness young talents addressing contemporary challenges through innovative thinking, technology, and human-centred approaches,” he noted.





A series of expert-led panel discussions offered students valuable industry perspectives on adaptability, research, and future-ready skills. The event also included special awards recognising exceptional works in areas like sustainable fashion, UX/UI design, animation, retail concepts, and business strategy.



By seamlessly merging fashion, design, innovation, and technology, UNFOLD 2026 once again reinforced UDIT’s position as a leading institution shaping the next generation of creative professionals. The university, which evolved from the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD), continues to pioneer a unique education model that prepares students to become future creators, entrepreneurs, and problem-solvers.


UNFOLD 2026 was more than just a graduation show — it was a powerful platform where emerging talent met opportunity, and bold ideas took centre stage. As the curtains drew on this inspiring edition, it left everyone excited about the bright future of Indian design and fashion.
