UID open day for DC students

On 13th April 2026, the students of Desizn Circle who qualified in the UID Exam 2026 attended the UID Open House at the NCR (Gurugram) campus. The session brought together students and parents for an insightful introduction to UID’s academic environment, design culture, and future opportunities across its campuses in Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, and NCR. During the event, students and parents got a chance to understand the institute more closely through discussions on courses, the future of design, career pathways, and the overall learning experience. UID’s NCR campus is officially based at the G D Goenka University campus on Sohna-Gurugram Road, Haryana, and the institute presents its NCR campus as a modern design environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure and creative spaces.

Prof. Shipra Khanna (HOD, Interior Design), Prof. Prakash Moorthy (Animation & Film Making), Prof. Maliha Sultan (GDP & HOD Interior Design), Prof. Riddhima Singh (Fashion Design),

Prof. Sumedha (HOD, Communication Design), Mr. Gopal Maroo (Sr. Operations Manager),

Mr. Ashish Gupta (General Manager - Admissions), Ms. Deepti Upadhyaya (Sr. Manager - Admissions), Ms. Vatsala Singh (Admission Manager), and Ms. Sadhwi (Student, Fashion Design).

The talk show was moderated by Sumit Sir from Desizn Circle, who guided the conversation around design education, emerging possibilities in the field, and what students can expect from a design-led future. Along with the discussion, parents were also taken on a campus tour where they explored the infrastructure of the NCR campus, including the fitness centre, art classrooms, fashion studios, and various labs. The visit gave families a clearer picture of the facilities, learning ecosystem, and overall student experience at UID.

It was a meaningful and enriching day for both students and parents, helping them connect with the faculty, understand the institution better, and experience the environment in which future designers are nurtured.
