Choosing the right design college is one of the most important decisions for any student. A college is not just about classrooms or degrees — it is about the environment, exposure, curriculum, mentorship, facilities, and the overall journey that shapes a student’s future. To help students and parents understand these aspects better, we conducted a meaningful series of conversations and interviews with top college executives and academic leaders from some of the leading design institutions.

Through these discussions, we explored important topics such as the college infrastructure, design curriculum, exchange programs, industry exposure, learning environment, future career opportunities, and what truly makes each institution unique. These sessions were designed to give students a clearer and more realistic understanding of the colleges directly from the people who lead and represent them.
From UID, we had the opportunity to speak with Col. Bose, who shared valuable insights into the institution, its academic framework, and the learning ecosystem offered to aspiring designers.
From UDIT (IIAD), we spoke with Dr. Jitin Chadha, CEO, who gave students a deeper understanding of the institution’s vision, its contemporary design education model, and how it prepares students for the creative industries of today and tomorrow.
From Pearl Academy, we interacted with Mr. Gaurav Kwatra, who discussed the academy’s design-focused approach, campus experience, industry integration, and the opportunities available to students across various creative disciplines.
From FLAME University, we had an insightful conversation with Prof. Amit Kundal, who helped students understand the role of design within a broader liberal arts framework, and how interdisciplinary education can create more thoughtful, aware, and versatile creative professionals.
From Istituto Marangoni, we spoke with Archana Ma’am, who explained the global outlook of the institution, the value of international exposure, and the opportunities students can gain through a design education connected to global fashion and design capitals.
These conversations were extremely valuable because they went beyond brochures and websites. They allowed students to hear directly from decision-makers and academic leaders, making the process of college selection much more informed and meaningful. When students understand a college deeply — its culture, strengths, teaching philosophy, and opportunities — they are able to make better choices for their future.
At our institute, we always believe that guidance should be practical, transparent, and student-focused. These sessions are a part of that effort — helping students not only dream about great colleges, but also truly understand them.
Below is a brief introduction to each institution and its design approach:
UID is known for its strong design-oriented ecosystem and emphasis on innovation, creativity, and professional development. The college offers students a dynamic environment where academic learning is supported by practical exposure and design thinking.
UDIT (IIAD) stands out for its contemporary approach to design education. It focuses on industry relevance, creative exploration, and building strong professional foundations through a modern curriculum and active learning environment.
Pearl Academy is widely recognised for its strong presence in design, fashion, media, and creative education. Its programs are designed to combine classroom learning with industry interaction, helping students build confidence and real-world understanding.
FLAME University offers a unique advantage by placing design education within a liberal arts context. This allows students to develop not only creative skills, but also critical thinking, communication, and a broader understanding of society and culture.
Istituto Marangoni brings a global dimension to design education. With its international outlook and strong connection to the worlds of fashion, luxury, and design, it gives students exposure to global standards, ideas, and opportunities.
We are happy to have brought these conversations to our students so they can gain direct insight into some of the finest institutions and make informed decisions about their academic journey.
